Released in the UK in 2014, the Mount Gay Black Barrel rum is made from single column and double pot distilled rum, though using a higher proportion of double pot distillates than their other expressions. It is also finished in heavily charred bourbon barrels before being bottled.
Nose: Richly warming notes of plump sultanas, cracked black pepper and creamy vanilla from the bourbon barrel finish.
Palate: Toasty. Deeply spicy, with plenty of cinnamon. A hint of liquorice and more vanilla.

This pineapple-flavoured rum was created by Plantation's Alexandre Gabriel as a tribute to Reverend Stiggins, a character in Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers. This has notes of banana, citrus peel, spice and a hint of smoke, along with the pineapple. Winner of Best New Spirit at Tales of the Cocktail 2016.

The Pusser's Rum collection has had a bit of a revamp. While their Blue Label is still made with the exact same blend of rums - a recipe from the Admiralty - it is now bottled at 40% abv rather that 54.5% abv. The reasoning behind this, is it allows Pusser's to be distributed to Naval bases, where the maximum allowed strength is 40%. If you're looking for the original 54.5% version, then fear not! It has now been rebranded as Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label.

This was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Sugar Cane Spirits Tasting Competition in Ybor City.This exceptional dark golden rum is made almost entirely from sugar-cane honey. A blend of 80% pot-still rum and 20% light rums that are aged for up to 12 years, it has gloriously sweet and fruity flavours. Beautifully opulent, with fruit cake, baking spice and fudge notes - a treat sipped neat, or in cocktails.
Fair Rum is produced using only Fair Trade Certified sugar cane from Belize, grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. It is then aged in American oak barrels, before being shipped to Cognac to be bottled. This is aromatic with spicy notes and a long finish.
